26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Spring Animals

This is the 12th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

The challenge this fortnight was Spring Animals.

I wanted to combine easter, so I did the easter bunny.  Hand painted the white rabbit on my ring finger and used nails decals on the other two nails.

Week 25 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

Half way through the challenge and I am still in it, yayy.

The challenge this week is Spring.  I used pastel springy colours and as it is Easter weekend, I added some Easter decals to my manicure.

I used a base of OPI Alpine Snow and once dry I used some acrylic paint instead of nail polish/lacquer to do a gradient.  I've used a pink, blue and green (lightened with the white to give a more muted shade).

Once dry, I applied a coat of SV, let that dry for a minute or two, then added the decals and another coat of SV and voila.

Easter Decals - 23 March2015

This was my Easter Manicure.  I sponged on a bright gradient with acrylic paints on a white base. Once dry I placed some water decals, top coated with SV and voila.

OPI Jade is the New Black

This was NOTD back in March on the 29th!

The polish is a lovely colour. It was a bit thinner than other OPI's that I own, but it still applied ok.

I applied two coats and I must have rushed the application, as there are some "bald" patches! opps!


But I like this colour very much. My colleagues and the children in school were very impressed with the "green" colour. In a good way of course.

A few days later at work we had a mufty day and as it was Easter weekend coming up, I drew a criss cross pattern (to look like baskets) and I drew a little bunny on the ring fingernails. What do you think?
