26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Going on Holiday

The 19th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's challenge.

I am a few days late but the theme is Going on Holiday.

This is my interpretation.

I did palm trees on a two colour gradient base.  I have done these before in a different colourway, I think I prefer the original (here).

Also I did NOT use nail polish, I used acrylic paint for the gradient and trees :)  I put on a glitter coat over the top of the gradient however, and as you can see on the purple bit, it kind of did a shattered effect, I quite like that.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Work Appropriate Nail Art

This is the 15th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

This fortnight the theme is Work Appropriate Nail Art

Although anything I wear on my nails is appropriate for my work (I work in an Infant school).

But if I were working in an office perhaps or other profession I think subtle nail art would be more appropriate.

So this is what I came up with.  I used self adhesive nail stickers for the accents (I have worn these before here).

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Pastel to Bold Gradient with Something on Top

This is the 14th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

This fortnight the theme is Pastel to Bold Gradient with Something on Top.

I love doing gradients, if a little messy.  Here I used a base coat of OPI Alpine Snow.  I put on a coat of SV for quick drying.  Then for the gradient I used LA Colors Mega Watt and Elf Mango Madness.

For the something on top, I used some floral and butterfly nail water decals - voila.

Simple and effective.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Green Freestyle

This is the 13th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

This fortnight the theme is Green Freestyle.  I have chosen water decals for my freestyle.

I have used these water decals here before, about 2 years ago.

Amazing how by just changing the colour of the polish/lacquer gives the manicure a completely different feel and look.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Spring Animals

This is the 12th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

The challenge this fortnight was Spring Animals.

I wanted to combine easter, so I did the easter bunny.  Hand painted the white rabbit on my ring finger and used nails decals on the other two nails.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Mixed Tape

This is the 11th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

The challenge this fortnight is Mixed Tape.

I was really stuck on what to do.  This is what I ended up with, The two accent nails, I first applied the gold polish and let dry.  Once dry, I applied some striping tape and went over it with the pink.
Result :)

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Blue Floral

This is the 10th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

The challenge this fortnight is Blue Floral.

I was going to use my all time favourite, water decals.  But I did some freehand floral instead. I used acrylic paints to do the floral.  Overall I think it turned out quite well.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Black and White Valentines

This is the 9th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

The challenge this fortnight is Black and White Valentines

Again, I've incorporated a gradient and a nail decal.  The decal has a bit of red in it, but then valentines has to have a bit of red, right?  I uses OPI Alpine Snow and Orly Liquid Vinyl.
