Pink Gradient and Water Decals -10 February 2015

I love doing gradient manicures with a sponge.  I am quite good at the sponging where I don't get too much polish on my skin, therefore clean up is not bad at all.

But I had bought a small bottle of liquid latex a while back and thought would give it a go. I did do a video but the lighting was awful, so just could not share it.

However, I will say it was not as easy to peel off as all the tutorials I've seen at all.  As you can see from the second photo, I made quite a mess but the latex stuck near my nail beds and I had to use acetone to remove it.  I have not used it since as I find it too long winded.  But it was fun peeling it off where it was thick enough!

Nail polish/lacquer used:

Nail water decals I purchased from Aliexpress (see post here).

Water Decal Skittlette - 4 February 2015

I've had these decals in my stash for absolutely ages.  They were always just too pretty and I didn't ever want to use them.  But they can't sit around forever, so here they are.

The base is China Glaze For Audrey and I applied the decal over my Nail Envy base.  No undercoat was required for these as they weren't clear background decals.

Inspired Skittlette - 26 January 2015

I saw this on Instagram @botanicnails and just fell in love with it.  I had to give it a go.  Not as good as the original, my lines could have been better, but not bad if I do say so myself.

Above, my hardly ever seen right hand :)

Rose Decal Skittlette - 19 January 2015

A lovely pink and silver skittlette with rose water decals.  The placement could have been better but hey ho.  A nice and bright manicure for a cold January month.

Houndstooth Skittlette - 13 January 2015

The third manicure of the year is done using houndstooth stickers I bought from Aliexpress.

Nail lacquer is OPI and glitter is PIA. I must have taken this photo a few days later as there is tip wear on the sticker nails.
