40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Weddings

Week 35 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

This week the prompt is weddings.

I guess when you think of wedding nails you would normally think pastel or french manicure or along those lines.

I took inspiration firstly from my own wedding outfit and then from the lovely @lauramerino12 on instagram.

I can't even remember what I had on my nails all those years ago (26 years).  But I thought if I did my nails, I would do them to match my outfit and this is what I came up with.

Pink and Black Lace Skittlette - 13 July 2015

A bright yet delicate pink and black skittlette.  I used self adhesive nail stickers (bought from AliExpress) on the two accent nails.

 As you can see I saved the bits I didn't use/need for another day. :)

AliExpress Haul - 19 June 2015

Right, first off WARNING, picture heavy

So, back in June of this year I had another big haul from AliExpress. I love nail Water Decals and as they are such good value I had to order me some.... and then some more.... oops :)

The parcel came very well wrapped....

I ordered a pack of 50 full nail water decals.

60 sheets mixed flower, bows, butterfly etc water decals.

 

Another mixed set of water decals, lot of different ones in here, flowers, full nail, cartoon, french nail tips etc.

 16 sheets French Style White Lace Flower Self Adhesive Nail Stickers.

84 Sheets of gorgeous full nail water decals.  I love the designs on these, they are so pretty, something for everyone and every occasion.

Now just need enough time and nails to use these lovely decals/stickers.

Metallic Nail Stickers - 10 June 2015

Another buy from AliExpress, some metallic gold and silver self adhesive nail stickers.

My daughter tried these out, I have to say without success.  Mind you she was in a great hurry as she she was going away on her hols to Greece the same evening. I think she somewhat rushed and they came out crinkled and creased.  She was not happy and they came right off.  But I think with a little bit more time and effort these would go on smoothly and look fab.

Another Nail Water Decal Haul!

I ordered some more nail decals and stickers from AliExpress.

The red ones are full nail water decals, and the other flower decals, 16 full self adhesive nail stickers and some nail tweezers, all a bargain.

Still on a catch-up - Hazy Flowers - 31 May 2015

Hi all,  I am still trying very hard to catch up on my blog regards all my manicures that I have done this year.

I started a new nail art challenge back in October and I have been blogging about that instead.

I did however manage to get as far as 21 May of this year here.  

The next nail art I did I've already blogged about way back in May and you can see that here.

So onto the next one..... The last one for May 2015

A lovely delicate grey with a full self adhesive nail sticker on the accent nail.

For the main manicure I used Hazy by Revlon.  For the ring accent I used a base of Nails Inc Elizabeth Street, a very pale nude pink, on top of which, when dry, I applied the Nail sticker (bought from AliExpress). Top coat of SV and voila.

Houndstooth Skittlette - 13 January 2015

The third manicure of the year is done using houndstooth stickers I bought from Aliexpress.

Nail lacquer is OPI and glitter is PIA. I must have taken this photo a few days later as there is tip wear on the sticker nails.

Not sure which deep red I used here or which green for the accent nail.  But on the accent nail I used a self adhesive nail sticker.  The whole manicure came out really well and truly christmassy.

 

GOT Polish Challenge Part 2 - Week 1 - Pastel Houndstooth

So part 2 of the GOT (Golden Oldie Thursday) Polish challenge over at Crumpet's Nail Tarts has started this week. The first theme is Pastel.

This is my pastel manicure.  I do have a lot of pastel colours, but don't often wear them.  So this was a great opportunity teamed with some stickers I bought recently.  I love this blue shade and it goes so well with the stickers.  It is quite streaky and needed three coats for opaqueness, maybe that is why it is does not make an appearance that often.  You need patience I guess.  For the pinky I just used one coat of the blue and then topped it with two glitter polishes.
