BFF - Punk

The 5th instalment of the BFF Challenge bought to you this week as chosen by Bec of lacquer dreams.

This was quite a challenge to start with as all I could think of was the Mohican hair.  But my DH came to the rescue and showed me some punk fashion, and reminded me that tartan was a big influence.

So my inspiration for this challenge is the tartan trousers punks wore.  This manicure I have to say I am very pleased with, it turned out just as I had imagined it.
Items used:
Asos Paint by Ciate - Lauren - Blue base
LA Colors - Art deco blue glitter
Acrylic Paint - Black and white
Seche Vite

BFF - Book Cover Inspiration

Hello, this is the 4th instalment of the BFF challenge.

This is my 2nd pick - a manicure inspired by a book/book cover

I must admit I don't get much time to read these days at all.  But I do read to my youngest at bedtime.  So I took inspiration from the last book I read to him, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I chose Mr Wonka in his bright purple suit, brown bow tie, and in the film Gene Wilder's frilly shirt.  Apologies for crappy pictures, but I didn't have enough time for this one.

Items Used:
OPI -  (tbc)    - purple
Acrylic paint

BFF - Striping Tape Challenge

Hello, this is the 3rd instalment of the BFF challenge.

This was my 1st pick - a manicure using striping tape.

I had a certain idea in my head and it looked better in there.  But once I finished it was nothing like I pictured it.  Having said that this was done after a good Zumba class, I sat in bed a t 9pm last night, took just over an hour to do, and the results:

Items used:
Nails Inc - Piccadilly Arcade - Pink Base
La Girl - Sterling Silver - Silver (sponged on)

Yabba Dabba Doooooo!

I have just joined a new group and this is my first long term challenge that I am taking part in.
The great graphic for this group is designed by the lovely Emma of Manicurity.  Isn't it fab.

Any hoot we are doing a series of challenges, two per week.  Each member has chosen two themes and we will be posting these on a Thursday and Saturday. There a total of 8 members so this will be running for 8weeks with a total of 16 challenges, phewyyy.

Our challenge for this first week is as chosen by Thiamere of On Beauty Stuff and What Else's.
She has chose Cartoon/Animes and Pink/Girly/Lacey.

My cartoon challenge.  When I was growing up, we watched this show ALL the time and I loved it.  So I did my nails inspired by The Flintstones, this is as you may have guessed Fred Flintstones top and tie.  Simple but that is all I could muster up this week. Not bad... if I do say so myself :o)
Items used:
OPI - Flit a Bit - Orange
Acrylic Paint - black and blue
Seche Vite

My Birthday Nails

Using my favourite colours, here are my Birthday Nails.
Just photo for now as my camera refusing to take decent photos. :o(  So will take more and add more later.
Edit: Here is another photo, not much better. Sadly my mid-finger nail is broken and no matter how much I patch it up, it just keeps coming apart. Friday 6th July I had enough and chopped it :o( Now not sure if I should file the rest down to similar length or leave them. Mmmm....
