40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Inspiration & Ladyqueen Decal Review

Week 47 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

Five  more weeks to go ......

This week I am running really late with this prompt,  I should have posted it last Friday!

Anyway I am killing two birds in the same post: 40GNAI's prompt Inspiration and a review of some decals I was sent by Ladyqueen.

Firstly my inspiration for this prompt is taken from my garden.  As I look out of my kitchen window, at the bottom of my garden I have planted up many tubs and containers full of flowers galore.  (I will do a post about my garden haul later I think).

I was going to hand paint flowers but these decals looked like some of the colours in my containers, so I used them.  They are from Ladyqueen and were sent to me for a review.  I did a review of another set from them here.  I love the colours on these particular ones, so bright and vibrant.  They are amazing for a quick, easy nail art.  With this particular sheet you have many many manicures with loads of colour option.

The decals here are a set of 12 on one big sheet (found here), they cost just $3.98 US dollars or £2.56 and free shipping.

I love the overall outcome, although in hindsight I wish for the decal nails I had used a white base, instead I used a pale yellow.

Twelve different floral prints for many many manicures.  So what are you waiting for? You can get these decals and many other Nail Art items from the store here, and whats more you can use my discount code RWLC15 for 15% off your order.
*These were sent to me for an honest review*

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Coral and White with Tweed - Skittlette

Week 38 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

This week the prompt is Coral and White with my personal prompt of Houndstooth/Tweed/Plaid.
I chose Tweed.

I did a something a little different.  I have been looking at a lot of Korean/Japanese nail art, and they seem to do something like this quite a lot so that is my inspiration.

GOT Polish Challenge Part 2 - Week 2 - CORAL - Floral Gradient Skittlette

Week 2 of the GOT2 (Golden Oldie Thursday) Polish challenge over at Crumpet's Nail Tarts.  This week the theme is Coral.

I am a day late as my daughter and I have been doing our own version of the 3 day hydration treatment with our own homemade cuticle oil.  A post on this to follow this weekend, hopefully.

So now onto my coral manicure.  I have had the coral polish I used here for just over a year.  I bought it then to use in a challenge but it arrived too late and it has been in my un-tried drawer ever since.

This manicure was inspired by carlysisoka# on IG, who was inspired by Sammy (Nailasaurus).
I couldn't decide on photo's so posted the best ones.

Items used:
OPI Nail Envy
Sally Hansen - Sheer Me Now
ELF - Fire Coral
China Glaze - Dreamsicle
Acrylic Paint - Green

Happy New Year 2014 and a little skittlette...

... my nails for the New Year of 2014.  Wishing anyone who reads this a happy, healthy and prosperous 2014.

This is my take on the skittlette  manicure as made popular by Chitchatnails here.  I used lacquer from my haul here, which I still have not filed!  The glitter is from my stash.
I used Sally Hansen Bittersweet - brown, Bandage - beige, Tahitian Sunset - coral, Nails Inc - Devonshire Street.
I am happy with the most part of it, just not the middle finger, I wish I had given myself more time and taped it rather than freehand painted.  Lesson learnt for next time.

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Day 11 - Polka Dots

Day 11 (week 11) of the ER31DC - Polks Dots
Again this was done a few days before the "chop"  I really liked how this turned out, I wore it for almost 3 whole days!  Would have worn it for a lot longer but I had to cut my nails down. I didn't realise until I put on the NI polish, that it was a jelly!  A nice surprise.
Items used:
OPI Nail Envy
Color Club - Who are you wearing? - Nude

I was trying to think of a title for this post and all the time the title was in the polish names!

Something Happy to Share.

My daughter is into her nails too, (gets it from her mum!!).  Anyway, I have previously done her friends nails twice as she was so impressed with a manicure I did for my daughter.  So weekend just gone the friend had a wedding to go to and she asked if I could do her nails.  Unfortunately I was busy so my daughter said she would do them.  This is what she did with some added nail art and gems.  The orange used was High Hopes by China Glaze.
