40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Orange - Mosaic/Stained Glass Skittlette
Week 46 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.
Six more weeks to go ......
This week the prompt is Orange and my personal prompt - Mosaic/Stained Glass .
I went for the Mosaic. I painted 3 different colour oranges onto a plastic sheet, when dry, I cut out tiny random shapes.
I painted on the Kiko base colour once, let it dry, applied a second coat and while still wet, placed randomly the cut out polish pieces. A top coat of SV and voila.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Mint Green - Half and Half
Week 36 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.
This week the prompt is a colour prompt of Mint Green and my personal pattern prompt - Half and Half.
I struggled with this prompt for quite a bit. I wasn't quite sure what to do. But I did it in the end.
I wish I had taken a bit more time and used a better sponge, but overall I am really quite pleased with how this turned out.
I painted half and half with each of my colours striaght on to my nails and put on a quick drying top coat.
I then painted on the sponge half and half the colours and sponged on to the nails, (two coats) followed by a top coat and viola:
I really like this vertical gradient and I love the colour combination.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Three Shades of Green - Embellished/3D
Week 24 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.
The challenge this week: for everyone three shades of green and my personal prompt - Embellished/3D.
In my head I had a good idea of what I wanted to do, but as usual I was in a hurry and it did not go to plan. I had wanted to do a two shade green gradient on two nails, but I didn't let the base colour dry enough and when I was sponging, it pulled the base colour off!
So I took it all off and ended up doing a saran wrap with the two colours instead. In hindsight it looks better than perhaps the gradient would have.
For the embellished/3d part of it, I just added some 3d flowers. For my pinky finger, I still have on the silver from last week (manicure still to share).

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Food
Week 23 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.
The challenge this week is Food.
I had lots of ideas, but kept it simple and quick.
I did a chocolate theme. I took my inspiration from Aero, original and mint. The middle finger is the original Aero with all the bubbles inside and the ring finger shows the centre of the mint Aero.

Still on a catch-up - Hazy Flowers - 31 May 2015
Hi all, I am still trying very hard to catch up on my blog regards all my manicures that I have done this year.
I started a new nail art challenge back in October and I have been blogging about that instead.
I did however manage to get as far as 21 May of this year here.
The next nail art I did I've already blogged about way back in May and you can see that here.
So onto the next one..... The last one for May 2015
A lovely delicate grey with a full self adhesive nail sticker on the accent nail.
For the main manicure I used Hazy by Revlon. For the ring accent I used a base of Nails Inc Elizabeth Street, a very pale nude pink, on top of which, when dry, I applied the Nail sticker (bought from AliExpress). Top coat of SV and voila.

Leopard Espresso! - 11 May 2015
After my beautiful (smiles to self :)) last manicure, a really plain down to earth one here. I filed down my nails so they are a tad shorter, cuticles could do with some TLC also.
But hey ho, here a simple leopard print accent nail.
Also used on this manicure not pictured, a matte top coat.

Espresso Blobicure - 17 March 2015
Filed down my nails just a tad from the last manicure. Another simple manicure with a blobicure accent nail.
For the accent blobicure, paint on one coat of base colour, let it dry then apply a second and while that is still wet just drip on some colours in random spots and voila. The polish spreads out and you are left with the blobicure.
As always I use OPI Nail Envy as my base coat, Espresso as the base colour and then Cloud and Shore-ly for the blobs. Seche vite top coat and ready to go.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Orange, Purple and Green - Accent Nail Part 2
Well as you see in the title this is part two! I was happy enough with the accent nail I did for 40 great nail art ideas challenge but not enough, so I did another one. :)
If you read my last post you will know that the colour prompt (as in the title above) is orange, purple and green for everyone, then we all have a different pattern prompt, mine is accent nail.
This is what I did the second time:
I just painted the ring finger with the orange polish, painted a strip of purple in the middle, added a few drops of green and swirled with a fine dotting tool.
Its looks out of focus, but this is how it looks IRL. I really like the effect.
