Christmas Day 2016 - Fail

I did some stamping for Xmas nails - a big fail.  But hay-ho, have to share the likes as well as the not!

Used an OPI red and PIA glitter red as well as a born pretty red stamping polish.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - 3 Shades of Purple with Circles

Week 16 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

This week the prompt is 3 Shades of Purple for everyone and my personal pattern prompt is Circles.

I have done a 3 shade purple sponge gradient with gold stamped circles on all but the ring finger.  On the ring finger, I started off with a white base (OPI Alpine Snow) I then stamped with the 3 shades of purple.  I have used BM322 plate.

I am still a novice where stamping is concerned as I don't own any decent stamping polish, but the No7 polish I used turned out pretty well.

Dusky Rose Stamping - 28 September 2015

I have several stamping plates but I am not good with them at all. So, as you will see from many previous posts, I stick to water decals or freehand art.  But I have to say that this turned out OK.

Stamped Skittlette - Fail!

Ok, back in February I attended a school reunion. It was thirty two years since we finished and last saw each other.  I was a bit apprehensive and was not sure if I wanted to go.  But I am so glad I went as it was lovely to see all the people who came.

Now on to the nails.  I tried to match them to the dress I wore that night.  The ring finger one turned out ok. But the middle finger was a little faint and I should have left well alone, but I went and stamped it again.... and what a mess.  I didn't have time to re-do, so went like this.  I think I will have to have another go and try with a different black to stamp with.  I should have taken photos of my right hand as that turned out much better, oh well two lessons learnt, don't over stamp and take photo of other hand!
Items used:

OPI - Infatuation Makeover!

Having worn Infatuation for a few days, I stamped all over it before I change the manicure.  I got this idea from Emeraldsparkled.  Mine is not as good or as springy as hers, but it still got some, yes some compliments.

Peace Baby - It's a Zebra....

30 MARCH 2011
I thought I would have another go at stamping.  I always though manage to mess up a nail or two, and this time was no exception.  Me thinks I need to practice more!!  But still, I was happy'ish with the overall result.  The kids at school certainly like my zebra nails as did the lady at checkout at sainsbury's.  I used for the base colour Peace Baby - OPI, this is three coats and it took so long to dry and still had some bald patches.  But since I was going to stamp on them I didn't think it would matter too much.  The black used is Black by Honeypot and the image plate is Konad M57.  Topped off with a coat of Seche Vite.
See! plate was too small, and I couldn't match up on the thumb!

Espresso Myself!

OK, I saw this earlier on Chloe's post here, how amazing are her maincures.  Anyway I had a similar colour on so thought would have a go at the stamping too as I had the same BM plate.  For my stamping though I used OPI Espresso Your Style.  A deep shimmery brown shade.  My stamping is not as good and it does not do the colour any justice at all.  But it will have to do and I will just have to practice stamping a bit more.
