Orange Plaid - Inspired by Polish2Times
22 January 2013
This manicure was inspired by Polish2Times. She did it on all nails, I chose 2 accent nails and she used a white for one of the plaid stripes (I used a pale yellow in the plaid). I also changed the shape of my nails to an oval as they were so short as I broke a few! I quite like them in this colour not sure if I like the shape overall all though. What do you think?

Then a few days later I saw this beautiful manicure and just had to try it out before I changed my polish. I used a darker orange for the pinky finger which turned out really pretty. For the others I used an unknown dark brown/black colour, not a bad effect. I will have to do the Nailwish manicure soon though as it is so beautiful and really easy.

Lilac Spotty Dotty
16 January 2013
Some dotty nail art worn today. This was so easy to do. A base colour of the gorgeous Pembroke Close by Nails Inc. Then the Lines using black and white acrylic paint. The dots/spots using a darker purple shade of Nails Inc Savile Row and the lighter lilac by China Glaze. I used a wooden skewer cut and filed for the larger dots and my larger dotting tool for the small spots. This was not the pattern I had in my head but all in all, it turned out pretty well.Items Used:
Nail Envy Base

Escape to Bahamian!
9 January 2013
I love this colour, but it was a bit plain and so to jazz it up I used some nail stickers. I think the orange flowers compliment the blue perfectly. But OH my short nails. They just keep splitting and breaking. My fault though, not enough moisturising.

I saw this on the WWW while looking for some inspiration, I can't remember where, so if it is yours, thank you. I gave it the above title because I did not know what else to call it! Sorry for the lack of clean up. I am also photographing using my new Christmas present, a new Nikon bridge camera from my DH. I still am not used to it, so any tips would be most welcome.
