Maroon Butterfly Water Decal - 8 October 2015

On to October now, nearly there!

I've had this OPI colour for absolutely ages. Don't wear it enough, so here it is with matching butterfly water decal on ring finger for an accent nail.

Grey, Blue and Glitter - 30 September 2015

Two Essie colours here, I loved this on, so elegant.  The blue accent nail is a textured one coater, I applied a coat of SV to smooth it out.

Chocolate and Tartan Accent - 23 September 2015

A simple manicure with just a tartan accent nail.

Decal Accent - 13 May 2015

A nice little water decal manicure here.  I last used this pack of decals here.  I only used enough for four nails, therefore leaving plenty for another, if not two more manicures.

Here I only used a decal for an accent nail, and as my nails are a lot shorter I cut out what I needed and saved the rest for another manicure (I sure am frugal!).  I always paint my nails with a base of white before applying decals.  Let the base dry and then apply the decal over it for a lovely opaque look.

Above, side by side, amazing how one product used with different items or in a different way can give you a completely different look

I love water decals.

Vampy Accent - 29 April 2015

After the last manicure where my cuticles looked awful, here they are restored by the use of cuticle/nail oil.  I use an oil I've made myself, I must look into the ingredients and do a post for it.

Anyway here is a lovely vampy manicure with nice cuticles.

Mango N smoke Gradient - 25 March 2015

I didn't know how to title this so ..... as the accent nail looks smoky.......

Just a simple two colour gradient with a smoky accent nail.

Items used as above with Nail Envy base coat and SV top coat.

Espresso Blobicure - 17 March 2015

Filed down my nails just a tad from the last manicure.  Another simple manicure with a blobicure accent nail.

For the accent blobicure, paint on one coat of base colour, let it dry then apply a second and while that is still wet just drip on some colours in random spots and voila.  The polish spreads out and you are left with the blobicure.

As always I use OPI Nail Envy as my base coat, Espresso as the base colour and then Cloud and Shore-ly for the blobs. Seche vite top coat and ready to go.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Orange, Purple and Green - Accent Nail Part 2

Well as you see in the title this is part two!  I was happy enough with the accent nail I did for 40 great nail art ideas challenge but not enough, so I did another one. :)

If you read my last post you will know that the colour prompt (as in the title above) is orange, purple and green for everyone, then we all have a different pattern prompt, mine is accent nail.

This is what I did the second time:
I just painted the ring finger with the orange polish, painted a strip of purple in the middle, added a few drops of green and swirled with a fine dotting tool.

Its looks out of focus, but this is how it looks IRL.  I really like the effect.
