Chop, Chop, Chop - Shorter Nails

I cut and filed my nails down yesterday.  I didn't use to like them this short but the last couple of months I have preferred them this length.  Anyway there will be posts coming where my nails are longer, these post were done and photographed prior to the chop (I think there are 3).

30 September 7/7 - Expressing Myself!

By now my ring and middle nails are in an awful state on both hands.  One starts getting better and another starts peeling, sort that out and oh no another nail breaks.  Ugghhh, I really don't know what is happening, I am really sad.  So, when when my nails make me sad or I feel sad, I like to wear dark vampy colours.  This is from the Texas collection and boy it made me feel better.  Sorry for bad photos and ooh dear bad cuticles still.
Items used:
OPI - Don't Get In The Expresso Lane - Dark Vampy brown

My Nails for November and December

These were my nails as in November and December this year.

I don't remember some of the makes or colour names for some of these manicures.  I have a stash of the colours upstairs but am too tired to go up right now to check.  But if I get time I will edit this post with the names if I can.

For now....

NOVEMBER:
This is a Color Club lacquer, I can't remember which one at the moment, but isn't it holo'ish.  Lovely.
Vibrant red, again don't know name or make :o(
Color Club - JewelTone Blue, this is lovely, but my nails are not!  Lots of chipping and splitting and breaking going on this month.  The weather is colder and the central heating is going on, perhaps the reason?
A black as I do not like my nails, boo hoo!
Nails getting better so why not be happy, a happy pink to go with them.
A bit of bling, not too much.
DECEMBER:
Well it is December and the Christmas season is upon us again.  Wow nearly the end of another year.  Is 2011 really nearly over?  I just can't believe where the time has gone.
So... what a way to start the jolly season than with some bling and glitter.  I can't remember the names but do know the red is Color Club and the silver is the silver I think.
Sinful Color - Fiji, what lovely purple.
The dark nails are in a shade by ASOS and a santa for the ring finger accent nail using acrylic paints.
Well this week all sort of xmas based activities going on at school as the end of term approaches.  So I did some christmassy nails.
Unfortunately, not a good start to the holidays, I was very down and so my nails fit my mood for christmas! :o(
Christmas over and done with so some holographic blingy nails were needed.  This is Catherine Arley 674. The light is not good and this is the best photo I could take to show off some of the holo in this.
CA 674 updated with some taped nail art.
And that is it folks.  Another year over and so many different manicures done this year.

I hope you all had a good christmas and here is looking forward to the year 2012 and all that it may bring.

Thank you all who read this little blog of mine I hope to have more for you in 2012.  xx

Catherine Arley - 666

Today I am wearing on my new oval nails the beautiful 666 by Catherine Arley.  It is a lovely dark shade of pink with..... moderate holo in it.  I had to take the photos with a flash as there is no sun here today :o(
Left hand, (normally in all my photos but my middle nail broke so is quite short at the moment)
Right hand as the nails are better!
See the holo, it is there.

A lovely pink, not as holographic as I expected but nevertheless, it was beautiful.  I had this on for 5 days!

Catherine Arley 806

Another Catherine Arley lacquer to share with you today.  This is number 806, a burnt orange shade. Just subtle holographic in this one.  I have to say it is not the sort of colour I would go for.  It doesn't do anything for my skin tone but I did not want to take it off, so I added some nail stickers.
WARNING: PHOTO HEAVY

Catherine Arley 673 Purple

I wore this last week, it is an amazing polish, opaque in two coats.  STUNNING, nothing else to say.
PHOTO HEAVY, no aplogies. To see the holographicness, you really do NEED to click to enlarge.

Look What I got in the Post.....

....... I should have shared with you last week but I just never got around to it.

Are you ready??

Well this is what the posty bought me....

                     Monday......
            Then on Thursday......
They took just over a week to arrive, all packaged really well, and best of all, all in tact.  I am really happy with the communication, packaging, delivery etc I got from beautycosmetic.  There were just two shades that were out of stock and some I only got 1 of.  But as you can see I got doubles and some triples!  Why I hear you ask, well, I shall be doing something special with those, so keep a look out in the very near future.
But for now here are the ones I will be keeping.
