Rosy Pink Decal Nails

Another manicure I missed posting - did back on 27 September 2016!

As the title suggests, a rose manicure with rose full nail water decals.

KIKO 497 Pearly Indian Violet

I did this manicure back in September 2016.  This was from my 2nd KIKO haul.  Isn't it a beauty. Love all the sparkles and micro glitter in it.  Loved it on.  Love the shape on my nails, I must do them like that again.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - New Year, New You

Hope you all had a good Christmas, here's wishing you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year 2017.

Well it's now the 7th manicure of the 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

The challenge this week is New Year, New You.

I thought I would do something different, not blingy or glittery, just colourful and floral.  Well, I have a ton of water decals.  I was obsessed by buying them last year, but just did not use them.  I found them too pretty to use!  But this year I am going to make it my goal to use them as much as I can.  I have a busy life at work and home and decals are a good way to get a quick and easy manicure.

So this is what I wore for New Years day 2017.  I love how it turned out and I am so glad I teamed it with the two nail polish colours as I did.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Red, Yellow and Green - Negative Space

Week 50 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

Two  more weeks to go ......

Challenge this week is Red, Yellow and Green and my personal pattern prompt - Negative Space.

What more can I say... well the red and yellow stripes could have been neater, but overall really pleased.

The orange stain on my finger is fading mehndi (henna) that my daughter did on me.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Peach or Lemon - Needle Drag

Week 48 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

Four  more weeks to go ......

Challenge for everyone is Peach or Lemon - my personal pattern prompt is needle drag.

I am running late as usual, so this was done in a hurry.  It didn't quite turn out how I planned but I did not have time to do it again.

Anyway here is my Peach and Lemon with two accent nails with the needle drag prompt.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Orange - Mosaic/Stained Glass Skittlette

Week 46 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

Six more weeks to go ......

This week the prompt is Orange and my personal prompt - Mosaic/Stained Glass .

I went for the Mosaic.  I painted 3 different colour oranges onto a plastic sheet, when dry, I cut out tiny random shapes.

I painted on the Kiko base colour once, let it dry, applied a second coat and while still wet, placed randomly the cut out polish pieces.  A top coat of SV and voila.

The three colours I used for the Mosaic on my nails ↓

SIMPLES - Week 2 - Skittle

SIMPLES: Nail Art from Muggle to Mastery - Week 2 is Skittle week.

I have been reviewing and had to use my cinderella hand for this manicure.

A skittle manicure is when you paint all your nails differently, whether it is pattern and colour combo or just colour combo it is a free for all so long as all the nails are different.  Here I went simple and went for colour - I used the colours of the rainbow.

Items used:
Rimmel - Double Decker Red
Pride of London - 343 (orange)
Sally Hansen - Buttercup
Color Club - Twiggie
Kiko - 386 Light Pastel Blue
Acrylic Paint - Black
Sech Vite top coat

Sparkly Nails - Lace Wheel Water Decals Review

At the weekend I got some gorgeous Lace Wheel Water Decals in the post from Sparkly Nails to review. There are 20 pieces in all, (10 black and 10 white).  They retail at £1.65 and UK standard postage is only £1.50.

As other decals I have used before, these were just as easy to apply.  I simply painted my nails (or rather sponged my nails, using my new KIKO blues and Sally Hansen).  I waited a few minutes, cut out the decals, dipped in water and applied to my nails, top coat of SV and some gems on the other nails and viola!

I must add I am quite frugal and decided to use them as an accent on my gradient nails.  I went for the white pattern.

Nail art has never been simpler and quicker.  Love these decals**.

Items used:
OPI Nail Envy
Sparky Nails Water Decals
Sally Hansen - Lavender Cloud
KIKO - Light Pastel Blue and Electric Blue
Nail Studs
Seche Vite top coat

** These were sent for an honest review.
