40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Mint Green - Half and Half

Week 36 of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.

This week the prompt is a colour prompt of Mint Green and my personal pattern prompt - Half and Half.

I struggled with this prompt for quite a bit.  I wasn't quite sure what to do.  But I did it in the end.

I wish I had taken a bit more time and used a better sponge, but overall I am really quite pleased with how this turned out.

I painted half and half with each of my colours striaght on to my nails and put on a quick drying top coat.

I then painted on the sponge half and half the colours and sponged on to the nails,  (two coats) followed by a top coat and viola:

I really like this vertical gradient and I love the colour combination.

Mint and Rose Decal Skittlette - 17 June 2015

Another manicure using water decals.  This time I've used full nail decals.  But being the frugal being that I am, I've managed to get one and a half nails out of one decal, how cool is that.  So many times I see ladies use the whole decal on one nail and half of it is just filed off, what a waste.

Nope, not me though, I measured out what I needed for the full nail, then cut the rest to shape and used it to do a french nail on the middle finger.  Again I used some nail studs to finish off the look.

I did not take pics of the nail polish I used, but I think for the pinkie it is Minted by Sally Hansen.

Dots N Roses - 26 April 2015

Oh dear my cuticles look awful, I think I stopped the oil :(  The manicure would of course look much better with good cuticles, but any hoot, some minty pink vintage rose nail art.

Chocolate Mint and Decals - 13 Nov 2014

13 November 2014

Again not good photo - what on earth happened to my photography skills (not that they were good, but much better than this) shocking!  :)
I used Hot for Chocolate by Revlon and For Audrey by China Glaze.  Ooh what are those flowers?  Oh yes, they are water decals from AliExpress.
