Dots N Roses - 26 April 2015
Oh dear my cuticles look awful, I think I stopped the oil :( The manicure would of course look much better with good cuticles, but any hoot, some minty pink vintage rose nail art.

Rose Fail - 1 August 2014
1 August 2014
A big fail here. Although I love the colours, the roses were a BIG FAIL here! I normally do my nail art with acrylic paint, only sometimes do I use the polish itself.
Here I did use the nail polish and they just did not turn out right. To top it all, when I applied the top coat, it all smeared.

3 July 2014
Shortened and re-shaped nails.3 July, my youngest turned 11 today. So these nails were to celebrate his birthday and mine in two days time.
I really liked how these turned out. Could have possibly done another coat on the thumb and pointer but hey-ho. :)
A close up of my hand-drawn roses.
Another arty pose :)
Products used, including OPI Nail Envy as base and Seche Vite top coat not shown here.

Roses on Blue - 26 June 2014
26 June 2014
Hand painted roses on China Glaze For Audrey base. Acrylic paint for the roses and leaves.
A picture of my naked nails. On the pointer I have a slight split, this lasted ages. Just could not get rid of it!

Hand Painted Rose Nail Art
I was given this beautiful nail polish set from one of the children in Reception Class over Christmas. I have absolutely no idea of the make for this polish, it does not say anywhere on the packaging.
The little girl who gifted them to me commented/asked if I had worn them as yet. I was sad to say "not yet", but promised her I would go home and do something with them in the evening. This is what I cam up with. I used all five polishes. I painted the base colour using the palest shade. Sponged on blobs of colour using the darker pinks and then using the pale shade again, painted in the roses. I have to say I got my inspiration from a picture I saw, if you recognise this, thanks.

A Rosy Skittlette
Well the Christmas Holidays are over and it was back to work/school today. Though I was not looking forward to getting up while still dark and having to endure all day at work, I thought I would wear a nice and breezy manicure to cheer me up.
I was all set to go, but finding all my stuff was not easy. My daughter had had a clear out for the Christmas hols and things were everywhere. I found the box I was after, got out the things I needed, went to put the box back, it slipped and did not want to go back in its place and I ended up snapping the whole of my index nail (which I might add I had been gluing together for the best part of about 3 weeks). I also broke an edge of my middle finger. So they are even shorter than before.
But personally I think the design I have on is much better on these shorter nails, so I won in the end.
Anyway, onto the manicure, the top photo shows the skin still on my index finger, too painful to cut off so it had to stay.
...... in this picture I photo shopped the skin out.
Items Used:
China Glaze - Agent Lavender - for the base on nails from pinky to index
For the Roses I used Sinful Colors Easy Going, China Glaze Dance Baby and Nails Inc Shoreditch. For the leaves I used OPI Don't Mess with OPI.
The glitter on the pinky is LA Girl Rockstar Overdose.
On the thumb I used CG Dance Baby, taped it off with striping tape and did a coat of CG AL.
Topped it all off with a coat of SV and voila.

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Day 14 - Flowers
Day 14 (week 14) of the ER31DC - Flowers. This is my flower design. I did this a few weeks ago, I absolutely loved the colour combination. I wore it for about 5/6 days, I did not want to take it off. I also got to use my new Sally Hansen polishes that I bought from Fragrance Direct. Great application, I found the brush a little tricky as I have not used this type of flat brush before. Having said that, once I had done a few coats I soon got the hang of it and found the application quite easy.
Items Used:
OPI Nail Envy
Seche Vite top coat
Sally Hansen - Put on the Black (burgandy)
- Lavendar Cloud (white)
- Grass Slipper (green)

Polka Dots, Stripes and Roses!
This manicure was inspired from youtube here. IRL it looked much better than these photo's would have you believe!
For this manicure I used:
Illamasqua - DWS - Grey base colour
and for the dots and stripes same colour lightened with a bit of white.
Roses with random pinks.
