Another catch-up Post - December 2016
I did these nails way back in December last year. Festive green nails with some nail water decal transfer stickers.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Halloween In The Wrong Colours
Challenge number 2 - Halloween In The Wrong Colours.
This was hard to think of in terms of colours, as most colours can be used for Halloween, green, orange, blue, black, white, red and purple! The only one I could think of was pink not really Halloweeny :)
So here is my sparkly, blingy pink Halloween manicure. I think simple but effective?
For the silver nails I used an Orly silver as a base then put the LA Girl glitter on top.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Cartoons and Comics
We are now on week nine of the 52 week 40 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge.
This week the prompt for everyone is Cartoons and Comics.
I had loads of ideas for this, but having come down with a cold and really bad cough I stuck to an easy manicure for this prompt.
I used #81 Tucana by Sinful Colors which matched perfectly with the nail decal for the cartoon/comic aspect of this manicure.

Black Onyx Glitter Skittlette - 2 March 2015
I'd seen this on IG, I am sorry I don't remember who did the original. I liked it so much I tried to replicate it. I did not have the original photo to hand, just did it as I thought it looked. It turned out ok. You can't go too wrong with black and or glitter, can you?

GOT Polish Challenge Part 2 - Week 4 - Tropical Gradient
Week 4 of the GOT2 (Golden Oldie Thursday) Polish challenge over at Crumpet's Nail Tarts. This week the theme is SomethingTropical.
I used two golden oldies (OPI and Sinful Colors) and two not so old for this manicure. I have recently joined onto the IG wagon and have seen a lot of tropical palm tree nails, there are loads of tutorials out there too, I had to give it a go. And if I do say so myself they turned out pretty good. My daughter did not believe I did the trees, she was sure I used decals!! But I assure you all, I did them myself.
Items used:
OPI Nail Envy
OPI - That's Hot Pink
Sinful Colors - Pinky Glitter
Nails Inc - Hobart Place
Pride of London - 343 (darker orange)
Black acrylic paint
Seche Vite

GOT Polish Challenge - Week 10 - Purple - Water Marble
Week 10 of the (Golden Oldie Thursday) GOT Polish challenge over at Crumpet's Nail Tarts. This week the theme is Purple.
I have had the two PIA nail polishes in my stash for over 2 years and the sinful color one for over 3 maybe 4 years.
With two of the polishes I decided to do a water marble. I rushed into this and forgot to put a base of white underneath the water marble, hence the see through effect. Although it looks ok I wish I had put on an undie! Nevermind, it looks ok.
Items used:
OPI Nail Envy
PIA - Shade 05 and 22 (glitter)
Sinful Color - Tucana

A Rosy Skittlette
Well the Christmas Holidays are over and it was back to work/school today. Though I was not looking forward to getting up while still dark and having to endure all day at work, I thought I would wear a nice and breezy manicure to cheer me up.
I was all set to go, but finding all my stuff was not easy. My daughter had had a clear out for the Christmas hols and things were everywhere. I found the box I was after, got out the things I needed, went to put the box back, it slipped and did not want to go back in its place and I ended up snapping the whole of my index nail (which I might add I had been gluing together for the best part of about 3 weeks). I also broke an edge of my middle finger. So they are even shorter than before.
But personally I think the design I have on is much better on these shorter nails, so I won in the end.
Anyway, onto the manicure, the top photo shows the skin still on my index finger, too painful to cut off so it had to stay.
...... in this picture I photo shopped the skin out.
Items Used:
China Glaze - Agent Lavender - for the base on nails from pinky to index
For the Roses I used Sinful Colors Easy Going, China Glaze Dance Baby and Nails Inc Shoreditch. For the leaves I used OPI Don't Mess with OPI.
The glitter on the pinky is LA Girl Rockstar Overdose.
On the thumb I used CG Dance Baby, taped it off with striping tape and did a coat of CG AL.
Topped it all off with a coat of SV and voila.

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Day 7 - Black and White
Day 7 (week 7) of the ER31DC - Black and White.
This was an easy'ish manicure to do. I taped off the bottom half and painted my nails from the cuticle in white. Took off the tape and painted the bottom half with black. Using black and white acrylic paint, I painted on the three lines using opposite colours, a coat of SV and voila......

Inspired - Valentine's Manicure 002
12 February 2013
I did this manicure last Tuesday. It is now Monday 18th Feb. Apart from a little tip wear, I have to say that this manicure has lasted really well. I have also only lost one bead from my right dominant hand. I work at a school and I am the dishwasher so I am really surprised. This is No 3 from the PIA range I bought a few weeks ago from fragrancedircet.
Inspired by Robin Moses here.

PIA - 03 - Vivid Pink
Sinful Color - Black on Black (Polka Dots)
Acrylic Paint - White

Pink and Aqua Sponge Gradient
Now those of you have read my blog, will know that I love the gradient manicure. It is so simple and easy to do and the effects can indeed be amazing. I have normally done it with three colours but I have recently seen a lot of two colour gradients and thought why not? So this is my second two tone take on it. Truth be told, it looks better on the photos than it did IRL! Nevertheless I had this on for about five days. Funnily enough the Aqua on the tips looks/ed purple over the neon pink base.
Items used:
Color Club - Ultra Violet - the neon pink for the base colour - 2 coats
Sinful Colors - Aqua - on the bottom half of the tips. Sponged on lightly
Seche Vite top coat.

Glitter Sandwich
This is my 1st of May manicure. I thought I would have a go at doing the glitter sandwich manicure. I don't have any real pale jelly lacquers so used this nudish shade by OPI and two types of glitter. Kind of worked but not quite as I wanted it to. Looks ok but I think it will be coming off soon. And I must buy some pale jellies!
Items used:
OPI - Silk Negligee - two base coats
Sinful Colors - Deep Blue Ocean - pale blue base with blue glitter - one thickish coat
OPI - Servin' up Sparkle - silver fine and hex glitter - one coat splogged on
and then followed by another coat of Silk Negligee.
SV top coat.
