GOT Polish Challenge Part 2 - Week 4 - Tropical Gradient

Week 4 of the GOT2 (Golden Oldie Thursday) Polish challenge over at Crumpet's Nail Tarts. This week the theme is SomethingTropical.

I used two golden oldies (OPI and Sinful Colors) and two not so old for this manicure.  I have recently joined onto the IG wagon and have seen a lot of tropical palm tree nails, there are loads of tutorials out there too, I had to give it a go.  And if I do say so myself they turned out pretty good.  My daughter did not believe I did the trees, she was sure I used decals!!  But I assure you all, I did them myself.
Items used:
OPI Nail Envy
OPI - That's Hot Pink
Sinful Colors - Pinky Glitter
Nails Inc - Hobart Place
Pride of London - 343 (darker orange)

GOT Polish Challenge Part 2 - Week 2 - CORAL - Floral Gradient Skittlette

Week 2 of the GOT2 (Golden Oldie Thursday) Polish challenge over at Crumpet's Nail Tarts.  This week the theme is Coral.

I am a day late as my daughter and I have been doing our own version of the 3 day hydration treatment with our own homemade cuticle oil.  A post on this to follow this weekend, hopefully.

So now onto my coral manicure.  I have had the coral polish I used here for just over a year.  I bought it then to use in a challenge but it arrived too late and it has been in my un-tried drawer ever since.

This manicure was inspired by carlysisoka# on IG, who was inspired by Sammy (Nailasaurus).
I couldn't decide on photo's so posted the best ones.

Items used:
OPI Nail Envy
Sally Hansen - Sheer Me Now
ELF - Fire Coral
China Glaze - Dreamsicle
Acrylic Paint - Green

Tweed Nails

I saw these on Saranail's blog, and totally had to recreate.   I should have used a brush to do the darker crosses on the tweed nails instead of my dotting tool.  Lesson learnt and I know what to do next time. I loved these so much, I only took them off yesterday (I had them on for a whole week).  Here is my version:

Items used:
OPI Nail Envy
Sally Hansen - Tahitian Sunset (base for the tweed nail)
China Glaze - Side-Saddle (middle, thumb and tweed)
NYC - Full Metal Jacket (Ring)
LA Colors - Shock (yellow for the tweed)
White Striper for tweed
Gold Striper

GOT Polish Challenge Part 2 - Week 1 - Pastel Houndstooth

So part 2 of the GOT (Golden Oldie Thursday) Polish challenge over at Crumpet's Nail Tarts has started this week. The first theme is Pastel.

This is my pastel manicure.  I do have a lot of pastel colours, but don't often wear them.  So this was a great opportunity teamed with some stickers I bought recently.  I love this blue shade and it goes so well with the stickers.  It is quite streaky and needed three coats for opaqueness, maybe that is why it is does not make an appearance that often.  You need patience I guess.  For the pinky I just used one coat of the blue and then topped it with two glitter polishes.
