Blurple Spots

Today I am wearing this gorgeous colour from OPI.  I bought it having seen loads of swatches which showed it to be a dark creme blue.  But I think this is quite an accurate picture, showing it as a blurple IMO.  On my accent ring finger I am wearing Barry M.

I apologise for sad cuticles.  I had done a full manicure and I use blue cross cuticle remover.  This product is a must as it works wonders, but sadly leaves the skin a little dry.  I obviously did not moisterise enough before taking photos :o(

Newbiehemian!

I have had this colour for ages now and still had not worn it - hence the title - this is New Bohemian! I would say the second picture is more true a colour than the first.  The first is taken with a lot of sun shining, WOW we were lucky the day this was taken ha ha.

Sponge Gradient with Glitter

Another Manicure to share with you all.  I did this gradient using pink for the top of the nail and orange on the bottom half to the tips.  I then added some glitter to bling it up a bit.  And a great tip here perhaps, rather than just applying the glitter straight on to the nail with the brush, I applied it on to the sponge and then sponged it on.  It seemed to adhere better.

Items used:
OPI - You're a Pisa Work - Pink
NYC - 112A Times Square Tangerine Creme - Orange

Inspired Manicure

I saw this on the Nailed It blog a few days ago and just loved her manicure.
This is my interpretation.  I did not want to do the exact same colours, so I chose pink and the green.  But I think the colours she did work so much better.  Nonetheless I am really pleased with my version too.  Since my last manicure I also cut down my nails.  They were getting too long.  I see from these pics though, I need to shape them still.  Also apologies, cuticles looking worse for ware, on half term so lots of washing!!
Items Used:
China Glaze - Sophistication - off white base coat
Nubar - Black Polka Dot
China Glaze - Turned up Turquoise - green

La Paz-itively Hot Pink Jubilee

As you may be aware we in the UK have just celebrated Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee.  To mark the occasion I did two jubilee related manicures.
This first one was not so great (the stamping is off on all the nails).  Had it not been for the wonky stamping this would have looked fantastic IMO.  Nonetheless I got some nice comments from the children at school so I was happy.
Items used:
OPI - La-Pazitively Hot - Pink
Bundle Monster - BM08
Stamping Polish - Black
Green rhinestones
Seche Vite

ZigZag Taped Gradient

I saw this manicure on this great blog by Mimi of makeupwithdrawal.  I just had to try it out.  I did these nails the night before our school summer fete.  The fete was on the Saturday and I got great comments.  I also ran a stall doing nail art.  It was so hot and windy, I had terrible hayfever as all the tables were out on the school field!  Never mind though, I had great nails.
This was done a few weeks ago and I did not make a note of what colours I used!
